Why SMILI Matters
SMILI was founded by Patty, a dedicated advocate for children’s mental health who brings over 15 years of private equity experience and a successful track record at top-tier firms, including Goldman Sachs. As a mother of a 7-year-old, she was driven by firsthand experiences navigating her own child’s emotional struggles. The overwhelming challenge of trying to find reliable support and solutions, only to be met with conflicting information left her feeling helpless. This became a personal pain point that ignited her vision for SMILI.
Recognizing the need for a trusted, comprehensive resource, she set out to create SMILI: a platform that offers curated, data-driven, and proven content designed to reassure parents that they are receiving the best advice and support available. With SMILI, parents can feel confident that their child is engaging with content grounded in evidence-based practices, supporting emotional growth, resilience, and understanding.
Educated at the #1 school in the country for entrepreneurship at both undergraduate and graduate levels, the founder combines her extensive expertise and personal passion to create meaningful change.
